Institute for Development Ecology Conservation and Cooperation(IDECC)
I am a field researcher in the field of sustainable development and ecological economy, with links on biodiversity and conservation. I study all the relationships between the environment and the human activities. My main area of research is West Africa, particularly Togo, Ghana, Nigeria and Ivory Coast. My projects are especially focused on agroforestry strategies for forest ecosystems, such as cocoa, oil palm and ribbon plantations. To achieve my research aims, I work extensively with local communities and governmental agencies. Furthermore, I’m analysing the potential correlates of the various outbreaks of the Ebola virus, both in term of ecology and agroforestry, and in term of economy. I’m the Vice President of IDECC Institute for Development Ecology Conservation and Cooperation that holds a scientific network with some of the most important Scientific Institution in West Africa. I’m Associated Researcher as Ecological Economist of the Niger Delta Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation Unit with the Department of Applied and Environmental Biology since February 2017 of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
