Lambros Ekonomou received a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical Engineering and Electronics in 1997 and a Master of Science in Advanced Control in 1998 from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (U.M.I.S.T.) in United Kingdom. In 2006 he graduated with a Ph.D. in High Voltage Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.) in Greece and with a BA in Economics from University of Piraeus in Greece.
He is Associate Professor in A.S.PE.T.E. – School of Pedagogical and Technological Education while he was with City University London, Hellenic Military Academy, Hellenic American University and Hellenic Naval Academy. He has also worked as senior electrical engineer in various companies including Hellenic Public Power Corporation S.A., Athens-Piraeus Electric Railways S.A. and Hellenic Aerospace Industry S.A.
He is member of the following professional organizations: Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), International Association of Science & Technology for Development (IASTED), World Scientific & Engineering Academy & Society (WSEAS), Technical Chamber of Greece and Economic Chamber of Greece.

Prof. Ali H. Tarrad (Ph.D Mech. Eng. UK) was awarded a (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from Baghdad University/ Iraq in 1984. In 1991 he was awarded the (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering for a thesis entitled (Pool Boiling of Pure Fluids and Mixtures on Plain and Enhanced Surfaces) from Heriot-Watt University/United Kingdom.
He worked in the industrial field for more than 13 years as a thermal engineering specialist. The work included project management and planning in addition to the design tasks of the job. Many projects were conducted under his direct supervision and design contribution in a variety of industrial applications. These included Power Plant Technology, Petroleum and Refinery industry, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems, Food industry and other civil projects.
He worked in the education sector foe more than 23 years as a tutor and research supervisor in the energy/power division-Mechanical Engineering/College of Engineering in Al-Mustansiriya University/ Iraq. His field of interest is related to energy management, refrigeration, heat transfer, power plant technology and thermodynamics. He published 37 research papers in Scientific Journals and Conferences and supervised a number of (MSc) and (PhD) theses.
