Bldr. WAHAB Akeem Bolaji was born in the seventies to the noble family of Mr. and Late (Mrs.) Mustafa Wahab in Olaifa’s Compound of Oje Area in Ibadan. His grandfather, Late (Alhaji) Mustafa Olaifa was an High Chief in Ibadan Land. The Young Akeem finished his primary school education in St. John’s Anglican Primary School, Agodi N5, Ibadan in 1985. He proceeded to the famous Islamic High School, Orita-Basorun, Ibadan, for his secondary school education, and he was privileged to be among the first set of students that passed through the 6-3-3-4 Education System in the Old Oyo State. He was appointed as the Assistant Time-Keeper in his High School when he was in JSS 3. When he was in SS 2, his academic brilliance and good conduct made him to be appointed again as the Assistant Senior Prefect for the school. He won many academic laurels either singularly or with few of his colleagues in academic competitions that involved his school and most of the best secondary schools on the landscape of Ibadan.
My research activities revolve around the areas of building science, building management system, green building, building sustainability and environmental management services.The research works are focussed on how to effectively use and manage resources consumed during life cycle of buildings and how to sustainably manage streams of waste likely to be generated during human activities in the built environment. (Papers 3, 4, 10 and 12). The research work has shown the characterization, standardization and mode of use of environmental resources such as water and energy indoor and outdoor (Papers 13 and 14). The work has focussed on the patterns of utilization of household energy supply in residential buildings and how to mitigate its likely impact on the environment (Paper 14). The research has been directed to the design and use of buildings on how to give consideration to passive design features, choice of materials in order to ensure comfortability, safety and productivity of occupants; and how toensure that exit design points are best located to manage fire hazards in vulnerable buildings (Papers 15 and 16). My work has also shown the disaster management practices with respect to the occurrence of fire in buildings, the features and facilities required in order to improve life cycle and performance of buildings (Paper 17). My work has also shown that that the use and procurement of building services equipment for comfort needs of building occupants are potent sources of risks to both internal and external parts of environment, and has been able to develop the framework needed to enhance sustainability of service items used in buildings (Papers 18, 19 and 20). It further shows the characterization of generators used as alternative power supply in buildings which reinforces the fact that the country runs generator economy and depicts the associated impacts that its dependence might have on building occupants (Papers 20 and 21). My research has also shown the likely changes and effects that building occupants and the environment can be subjected to (Papers 22 and 23).

Dr. Eyvaz is a Research Assistant of Environmental Engineering Department (ENVE) at Gebze Technical University (GTU). He received his bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering from Kocaeli University in Turkey in 2004. He completed his graduate work (M.Sc., 2006 and Ph.D., 2013) at Gebze Institute of Technology (former name of GTU) in Environmental Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Mehmet KOBYA, Prof. in ENVE-GTU (for M.Sc.), and of Dr. Ebubekir YÜKSEL, Prof. in ENVE-GTU and Dr. Ömer AKGİRAY, Professor and Chair of ENVE at Marmara University, (for Ph. Dr. Eyvaz has been in Environmental Engineering Department of GTU as a research assistant (2005-present). His research interests are applications in water and wastewater treatment facilities, electrochemical treatment process and filtration systems at lab. and pilot scale, membrane processes (forward osmosis, reverse osmosis, membrane bioreactors), membrane manufacturing methods (polymeric membranes, nanofiber membranes, electrospinning), spectrophotometric analyses (UV, atomic absorption spectrophotometry), chromatographic analyses (gas chromatography, high pressure liquid chromatography). He has published his findings in the premier journals of his field, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Separation and Purification Technology, and Chemical Engineering Journal. He has produced more than 10 peer-reviewed publications (cited over 250 times) with an h index of 6. He serves as an editor in 22 various journals and a reviewer in 73 different various journals indexed in SCI or SCI-E.
Dr. Eyvaz and his co-authors’ peer-reviewed publications have continuously and increasingly been cited. By June 2016, the totals of citations to Dr. Eyvaz’s journal publications are 271, 293, and 436 and his h-indexes* are 6 for each of Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholars databases, respectively. This citation number belongs to only research papers without including any review paper.

Venkataraman Sivasankar received his doctorate degree in Chemistry in the year 2009 from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India and presently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Post Graduate and Research Department of Chemistry, Pachaiyappa’s College, Chennai, South India. He has a research experience more than a decade in the ﬁ eld of water chemistry, materials synthesis and wastewater treatment which includes deﬂ uoridation and, so far produced two doctoral students. He is a JSPS fellow of the year 2016, awarded and funded by Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science, Japan. I graduated from Trakya University, Faculty of Agriculture, and Department of Soil Science in 1996 as head of the class (department). At the same year, I both started to MS in institute of natural and applied sciences in Trakya University and started to work as research assistant in Trakya University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science. I assumed title “MSc Engineer” in 1998 and “PhD” in 2004.
I worked as research assistant in Trakya University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science between 1996 and 2007. I am working as Assistant Professor in Namık Kemal University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition since 2007.
I attended many meetings, courses, seminars, panels, workshops, congress and festivals at home and abroad.
I was assigned to lecture for one week each within the context of Erasmus teaching staff mobility at Trakia Democritus University in Greece in 2011 and at University of Technology and Life Sciences in Poland in 2013.
I was assigned for 3 months between 11 July and 10 October at “the University of Vermont” in Vermont-USA to take a part in a project called “use of soil earthworms in agriculture”. I was invited in November-December 2012 by the same university and attended some scientific collaborative studies in order to carry out projects about “vermicompost and soil earthworms” in the University of Vermont.
I served as project head and researcher in 15 projects supported by Tübitak, Trakya University, Namık Kemal University, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Bilecik Seyh Edebali University and Bozok University Scientific Research Projects Units.
I have 96 articles on soil science, soil ecology, plant nutrition, soil fertility, soil chemistry, soil-water pollution, ecologic agriculture and fertilization topics as research articles and papers presented in domestic and abroad scientific meetings. Also, 8 of them are the articles published in international periodicals cited by international science indexes (SCI).
I won 12 months research scholarship at “The University of Vermont” in Vermont-USA for the second term of 2013 in the context of TUBITAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Scholarship Program.
I study the subjects about soil earthworms, vermicompost production from different organic wastes, set up and control of modern vermicompost production plants which are popular subjects all around the world recently.

Dr. Gopal Krishan is currently Scientist-C, at National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee and Ex-Researcher-Indo Gangetic Basin, Groundwater Resilience Project, British Geological Survey, United Kingdom. Dr. Gopal has over fifteen years of research experience in many facets of hydrological evaluations, surface water and ground water hydrology project management, and field investigations. Before joining NIH, he worked at IIRS-ISRO, Dehradun for 3 years in National Land Degradation, National Landuse/landcover and National Carbon Projects sponsored by Department of Space.
Dr. Gopal received his PhD. in Soil Science and Water Management from Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, Himachal Pradesh in 2001. He focused his doctoral research on development of biofertilizer technology. Dr. Gopal is a member of the ISRS, IAH and AWRA.
He has developed skills in Isotope Hydro-meteorology and the work was presented in several International and national forums in India as well as abroad, hydro-geochemistry and water quality studies. He has also imparted training on instrumentation at IIRS-ISRO and on Isotope Hydrology in various training programmes at NIH.
Dr. Gopal has research expertise in applying isotope in air moisture studies for resolving sources of air moisture, monitoring south-west monsoon, identifying recharge sources, developed natural baseline for water quality, identifying zones for sub-marine groundwater discharge in coastal areas. He has published more than 150 research papers in international/national journals and conferences, 1 book, 11 book chapters, news letter and 7 reports.
He has research interest in isotope applications in SW monsoon monitoring, tracking recharge source, surface-water groundwater interaction, studying emerging organic contaminant in groundwater in urban areas.
